Airfield Information

RUNWAYS:     01 - 19  470m x 7m Grass   and   06 - 24  340m x 7m Grass
                       Each are 600ft AMSL at highest point with upslopes  as indicated above

Circuits must be flown to the West of the airfield, either inside or outside of English Bicknor village, and avoiding flight over Eastbach Court (large house to South of airfield). Circuit height is at the pilots discretion but please observe flow of traffic, exercise good airmanship and avoid conflict at all times. Due to the sloping ground, landings are FROM North or South West, takeoffs are TO North or South West. Would all visiting aircraft please monitor SafetyCom frequency when in the vicinity of the airfield. During days with 'nil wind' conditions, the active TAKEOFF runway is designated by a sign on the top hanger wall (near start of runway 24)

It must be remembered, however, that the fact that the aerodrome is unlicensed does not preclude compliance with the Air Navigation Order (ANO) or the Rules Of The Air (ROA). In particular, care should be taken to meet the requirements of Rule 5 of the ROA.

HAZARDS:  Runways slope both ways and airfield rises 40ft from North to South.
CAUTION:  With Easterly or Westerly winds, beware of sink on both approaches and
                   you should also beware of soft ground during winter months.
